Our objectives are that you will be enabled to:
  • Understand CAT and the empowering dynamics of social enterprises;
  • Identify CAT and social enterprise opportunities in your community;
  • Experience how CAT works in a practical Scottish context.
On Monday 3rd December Alan Mulvie from Aberdeen City Council will be speaking about his involvement in community asset transfer.

Task 4

Find a local example of a building or facility that's transferred to community management.

Find out:
  • Who was involved in the enterprise?
  • Where is it located?
  • What does it look like?
  • What obstacles where encountered in setting it up?
  • How was this process empowering, in your opinion?
OR

Think of a social enterprise that you would like to see set up in your community:
  • Who would it involve?
  • Where would it be located?
  • What would it look like?
  • What obstacles would you encounter?
  • Who would benefit from it?
  • How would they benefit?

Now post your findings (a couple of paragraphs) on the WikiProjects page.
